Malibu Real Estate On The Rise

Malibu Luxury Real Estate reports on the key market indicators for Malibu homes closed in the third quarter of 2011 versus Malibu homes sold in the third quarter of 2012.
 
Malibu Luxury Real Estate pulled all data regarding the number of closed Malibu single family homes, the average days on the market, and the median price achieved for the Malibu sold homes in two different time periods with data pulled from the Multiple Listing Service.
 
The number of Malibu houses that sold in the third quarter of 2011 versus the number sold in 2012 increased by 11 houses sold.  This definitely says a lot about the strengthening of the Malibu real estate market.  Overall the market has increased about 10% compared to the third quarter of last year.  Here are the relevant statistics:
 
Number of Malibu homes for sale closed in the third quarter of 2011: 45
 
Number of Malibu homes for sale closed in the third quarter of 2012: 56
 
 
Average Days on the Market for a Malibu house for sale in the third quarter of 2011: 152 days on the market.
 
Average Days on the Market for a Malibu house for sale in the third quarter of 2012: 217 days on the market.
 
The median price point achieved for Malibu homes closed in the third quarter of 2011: $1.8 million dollars.
 
The median price point achieved for Malibu homes closed in the third quarter of 2012: $2.060 million dollars.
 
 
These statistics represent an increase of days on the market, but also an increase in the median price.
 
 
All the market data pulled from the MLS researched by Malibu Luxury Real Estate shows a reasonable increase in the demand in the Malibu real estate market in combination with a limited supply, which are good indicators of a stronger market for Malibu homes.
